Costume Information

PLEASE KNOW THAT THESE COSTUME GUIDELINES ARE HERE TO RAISE THE AUTHENTICITY LEVEL OF CHRISTMAS JOURNEY 
 
General Costume Information for EVERYONE  -- "What can BROWN do for you?"
  • No jewelry, glasses, watches, hair accessories, etc.  Cover wedding rings wtih masking tape or bandaid if necessary.  These items are NOT representative of the Biblical times we are presenting.
  • Everyone should wear plain brown leather sandals.
  • Prepare for the cold weather - you need tan-colored underclothing for the costume.  Tea-stained long johns to cover arms and legs, tea-stained gloves to keep hands warm, tea-stained socks to wear with your leather sandals, etc.
  • No clothing should be showing from the edges of your costumes - no shirt collars, sleeve cuffs, pants legs, etc.
  • No nail polishes or bright colored lipsticks.
  • AU-THEN-TI-CI-TY - plan for it NOW
  • All fabrics should be rustic and earth-toned.  No stripes, plaids or patterns.  Remember - BROWN.
